Adaptive skating seals help new skaters build confidence, balance, and independence on the ice. Designed to provide stability and support, seals allow children and adults with disabilities to safely develop skating skills at their own pace. For many participants, a seal is the first step toward a lifelong love of skating and the confidence that comes from achieving something they never thought possible.

Adaptive sleds make it possible for individuals with mobility impairments, physical disabilities, and injured veterans to experience the excitement of skating and hockey. Using specially designed sleds and dual-bladed runners, athletes can propel themselves across the ice, compete, and enjoy all the benefits of being part of a team. These sleds remove barriers and create opportunities for athletes of all abilities to participate in the sport they love.
Kelly's Kidz Foundation provided the funding for four adaptive skating seals, helping countless new skaters build confidence, develop skills, and safely experience the joy of being on the ice. Their generosity continues to benefit Hockey Mentors participants every season. Home | Kelly's Kidz Foundation

Sponsored by Mack Young and Nikki Curtis in honor of Darryl Curtis, whose determination and love of skating inspires everyone around him. This seal will help future participants build confidence, develop skills, and experience the joy of being on the ice.

Kelly's Kidz Foundation also helped expand Hockey Mentors' adaptive sled program through the sponsorship of two youth adaptive sleds. Their support has created opportunities for children with mobility challenges to participate in skating and hockey alongside their peers. Home | Kelly's Kidz Foundation
