UPCOMING EVENTS May 23 10:30am-1pm Learn to skate / Adult Sled June 21
Hockey Mentors brings the excitement of the ice to individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with physical, cognitive, emotional, and psychological disabilities. Participants have the opportunity to experience the thrill of skating and be introduced to the game of hockey in a fun, supportive environment. No prior skating or hockey experience is required—just come ready to have fun.
Our volunteers provide one-on-one support on the ice, helping each participant feel safe, confident, and encouraged throughout the session.
Ice skates are provided, along with a limited number of helmets. For safety, all skaters are required to wear a helmet with a chin strap. You are welcome to bring your own (hockey, ski, snowboard, or bike helmets are all acceptable).
Families are welcome to join on the ice and share in the experience.
Before skating, enjoy pizza and refreshments, and during colder months, warm up with hot chocolate while connecting with other families and volunteers.
If you’ve joined us before, we encourage you to wear your Hockey Mentors t-shirt or jersey.
For questions, please email wyatt@hockeymentors.net
We look forward to seeing you on the ice.

We are looking for volunteers to support participants during our 6-week Adaptive Learn-to-Skate Program. Volunteers are paired 1:1 with a participant on the ice, helping them build confidence, balance, and basic skating skills in a safe and supportive environment.
This is a 6-week commitment. Volunteers are expected to attend all sessions whenever possible to provide consistency for participants.
