Hockey Mentors provides free adaptive skating and hockey opportunities for individuals with disabilities, veterans, and adaptive athletes throughout Metro Detroit.
At Hockey Mentors, every participant is paired with caring volunteers who encourage, support, and celebrate every success. Whether it's a first step onto the ice or a triumphant fist bump after a great skate, every moment is an opportunity to build confidence, friendships, and lasting memories.

Whether skating upright, using adaptive equipment, or competing in sled hockey, every participant has the opportunity to experience the excitement, teamwork, and confidence that hockey can provide.
Catch up on everything happening at Hockey Mentors, including our media appearances, silent auction, July 11 Summer Celebration, volunteer opportunities, and plans for the future.

"Hockey is for everyone."
"Sled hockey gear is not cheap, but the feeling of community on the ice is invaluable. Teammates and volunteers are the kindest, toughest, most spirited folks you could ever hope to meet... Knowing this inclusive environment exists and is made affordable by generous donors makes me proud to live in Metro Detroit."
