Eagle Scout Projet
I had been planning a day of hockey for Special Olympic of Michigan athletes for over a year. It was to be my Eagle Scout project. Covid and the governor had other plans. With a deadline approaching I had to come up with a Plan B-Hockey video. The video was a labor of love that involved a lot of sweat and laughs. It is meant to entertain, educate and inspire. Hockey is a sport that can be played individuals with all levels of abilities. Whether deaf, blind, yep even blind, missing both legs or cognitively impaired.
There are not enough words to express the gratitude, respect and admiration that I have for Mike Palmer. He is a military vet, fire fighter, founder of Motor City Veteran Hockey, MCVH, Association and my friend. It is only with his help that my vision for the video came to life.
I am equally humbled and grateful to the members of MCVH that came to every shoot eager and happy to do whatever was needed to get the shot.
A huge thank you to my teammates for supporting me in making the video, you guys are awesome!
I will be posting the video here for you to enjoy and share. Drop me a line and let me know what you think.
The day of hockey is still going to happen. My goal is for this summer. I will keep you posted.
I was honored to give a check to Special Olympics of Michigan director Rozz Mahone, for the monies given to me from Troy Rotary, Trion Solutions and Troy Community Foundation.
I look forward to a long friendship and involvement with Special Olympics of Michigan
