Eagle Scout Projet
Eagle Scout Projet
My name is Wyatt Lucas. I am in high school and taking college classes at OOC and OU. After high school my goal is to attend Lawrence Tech University for Biomedical Engineering. I am very involved in my community. Two years ago I raised over $14,000 selling t-shirts I designed and collecting bottles for the owls at theTroy Nature Center. Last summer my sister, Tessa, and I taught Heartsaver AED/CPR to over 200 people, many of whom were teachers, coaches, parents and kids. I also do a lot of volunteering with the Troy Rotary.
I have been in scouting since the first grade. I have learned so many important life skills through scouting. As a Boy Scout the ultimate goal is to become an Eagle Scout. To achieve that rank a scout develops a project that is meaningful to them, referred to as their Eagle Scout project.
I have been playing hockey since I was 4. I am currently on the Troy United Varsity hockey team. Hockey has been a great expereince for me. Little compares to the feeling of scoring a goal and sharing that moment with your teammates.
I wanted to provide individuals with cognitive and or physcial needs the opportunity to experience that same thrill. My project will provide a fun, safe and supportive environment for special olympians to learn how to ice skate and play hockey.
I love teaching CPR and believe everyone should learn how to perform Hands Only CPR.
The video is made and will be uploaded shortly.
Keep checking back for updates on the day of hockey for Special Olympians.
